With extensive experience at the forefront of the corporate design world, I’ve been intentionally building foundations that underpin excellence in creative design for over two decades.

Our approach is grounded in a deep understanding of design development, directing and producing creative solutions for elevated impact.

I entered the creative industry twenty-five years ago as a passionate and ambitious designer, travelling to London and gaining opportunities to work in agencies, with an array of talented designers. I developed valuable design campaigns for the Natural History Museum, the International Unilever Project, and other high-profile clients as a Senior Designer.

Upon my return to Brisbane, I joined leading consulting firm Rowland becoming a Creative Manager, where I cultivated a talented team of creative professionals. This season allowed me to gain an even deeper understanding of all things corporate design, conceptualising and delivering unique solutions for clients like the Queensland Art Gallery, McDonalds, Wesfarmers, RACQ, Griffith University, Brisbane Airport Corporation and Aurizon.

After managing high-level corporate projects for nearly 15 years, it was time to take my creative services to the next level as the director of Shayla Melrose Design. This exciting step allowed me to offer creative design to new businesses and partners, and I now manage an ever-growing portfolio of established brands, many of which have been valued clients since the very beginning!
